| Description: | Darcy Jackson, Paula McPherson and myself, created a unique signpost for our hiking trails in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. Each sign has the direction and distance of the hiking trail. We used smooth plywood for the cut out animal portraits with the labels of the trails woodburned in each piece. To retain the natural beauty of the wood we used a transparent oil based stain. |
| Artist's Comments: | It was a combined effort to make the signpost durable and stable. It took us 6 months to complete from start to finish. The post itself was all hand peeled, scraped, smoothed & stained. |
